Production & Quality Specialist (Seed)
About the role
This role sits at the intersection of production, quality, inventory, logistics, and replenishment. You will work closely with copackers, suppliers, warehouses, 3PLs, and internal teams to ensure the right products are produced in the right quantities, meet quality and packaging specifications, and are available when and where they are needed. You will own the operational follow-through of production POs from creation through receipt, maintain visibility to finished-goods inventory across our network, coordinate production and logistics, and identify supply or service risks before they impact customers.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day execution of the seed packet production program
- Own production POs from creation through receipt
- Maintain visibility to finished-goods inventory across the network
- Coordinate production and logistics
- Manage e-commerce and Amazon replenishment, including Amazon FBA inventory and availability of seed packets for Amazon bundle production
- Monitor finished packets against established specifications
- Investigate quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with production partners
- Document and resolve quality issues
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in supply chain, production planning, procurement, logistics, inventory, quality, or a related field
- Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers, copackers, warehouses, or 3PLs
- Experience managing purchase orders, production schedules, inventory, replenishment, or logistics
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills with the ability to analyze and work with operational data
- Experience with an ERP system; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow issues through to completion
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external production partners
- Comfortable identifying problems, investigating root causes, and driving corrective actions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities and production requirements can change quickly
- Experience with e-commerce, Amazon, CPG, agriculture, seed, food, or manufacturing is preferred but not required
