Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain essential quality documents such as control plans (CP), inspection sheets, standardized work instructions.
  • Applies specialized knowledge of technical discipline to implement policies and strategies, often supporting roles in technical fields, while continuing to build advanced expertise.
  • Uses a solid understanding of key business drivers to effectively complete tasks and contribute to team objectives.
  • Solves technical issues within established procedures using sound judgement; consults with senior team members for guidance on issues outside of standard parameters.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and may guide junior team members; in customer-facing roles, builds solid relationships and acts as the primary interface between the customer and GE.
  • Communicates technical information clearly to team members and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality, Continuous Improvement).
  • At least 1 year of leadership leading teams or projects effectively.

Desired Characteristics

  • Ability to use systematic approach to problem solve (e.g., 8-D, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), component swap, design of experiments (DOE), PDCA, and cause-and-effect diagram to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production quality.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to convey information clearly and inspire a team.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledgeable with GD&T and print reading.
  • Knowledgeable with measurement systems analysis (MSA) tools such as Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GRR).
  • Knowledgeable with process assessment tools such as SPC & capability indices.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and willingness to learn and grow.

Pay and Schedule

The pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
