Production Processing Operator - Dairy/Award - $23.00/hr (Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3:00pm)

About the Role

Monitors dairy plant production processes such as milk receiving, separation, standardization, pasteurization, and batching by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all paperwork is accurate, verifying charts including frequency, pen cut-in/cut-out temperatures, and product recordings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties; communicate problems or concerns that may restrict production efficiency or food safety to management.
• Follow required safety practices, including observing confined space safety guidelines, wearing required personal protection equipment (PPE), ensuring safe chemical handling, and monitoring fall restraints.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment through CIP (Clean-In-Place) and hand cleaning; report safety concerns or issues to leadership.
• Support Continuous Improvement by maintaining process and equipment performance data to enhance quality and throughput.
• Operate and clean equipment to maximize throughput and minimize downtime; communicate mechanical and operational issues.
• Operate equipment at recommended speeds and monitor fats, total solids, allergens, and cryoscopies to ensure quality and efficiency in dairy processing.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
• Determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.

Requirements

• 1 year’s experience in a distribution or production environment (e.g., logistics, supply chain, dairy plant, food processing, or manufacturing).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Continuous Improvement, Distribution, Food - Dairy Processing, Food - Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $28.80. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, such as based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
