About the role
This internship involves developing and implementing manufacturing build plans to meet customer contractual delivery schedules. You will work with MRP systems, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure timely execution of build schedules and address any issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing build plans to meet customer contractual delivery schedules.
- Utilize Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to input Master Schedule build plans, track material availability, status kit readiness, release shop orders, and maintain all shop order records and inventory integrity.
- Update and maintain make items lead times within MRP system.
- Manage floor stock of program components.
- Work jointly with Manufacturing and Quality teams to execute build schedule and address any issues in a timely manner.
- Work with Materials Planners to proactively manage the schedule and material dock dates to ensure accuracy of planning.
- Provide hardware status, updates, and performance statistics to the program team based on the status of hardware through Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Skills
- Knowledge and/or experience in scheduling or supply chain planning preferred.
- Strong computer and analytical skills combined with the ability to manage large amounts of quantitative data.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software; working knowledge of relational databases.
- Knowledge and/or experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) or other enterprise planning and scheduling suites.
Schedule
9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off.
