Summary Of Responsibilities

The Senior Analyst, Production Planning and Logistics is responsible for managing the worldwide capacity/demand matrix, coordinating shipment scheduling, maintaining logistics data, and executing production schedules for core business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accurate Capacity/Demand matrix and serve as the functional expert for worldwide and domestic capacity/demand matrix for core businesses of Surface Protection in order to assist in the efficient flow of manufacturing and product production.
  • Serve as the primary resource for domestically produced shipment scheduling and coordination with external customer and third-party logistics (customers).
  • Develop and maintain a detailed database of logistics information for use in capacity alignment decisions.
  • Execute and revise plant production schedules and initiate strategic changes as needed in day-to-day operations.
  • Provide critical information and support to customers (internal and external), as requested.
  • Define, lead and/or participate in various process improvement projects within the scope of functional area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree with 5 plus years’ relevant experience in a related area preferred.
  • Mechanical engineering or manufacturing plant experience required.
  • Proficiency in JDE or similar system required.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook required.

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor degree with 5 plus years’ relevant experience in a related area preferred. Manufacturing plant experience required.

Skills

  • Sound independent judgment, effective decision-making, and the ability to manage day-to-day processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Collaboration with Supply Chain in fully reviewing and utilizing JDE to improve process flow.
  • Efficient management of shipment scheduling and coordination.
  • Positive working relationships with other departments, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to remain current on international logistics regulations and laws to meet required international standards.
