ManagementFull-time
Primary Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Translate the plans into a detailed finite production schedule
- Generate a granular sequence of near-term process orders that fulfill planned orders while respecting asset constraints, labor availability, and changeover logic
- Maximize adherence to the daily schedule by optimizing allocation of production resources and minimizing last-minute adjustments
- Monitor volume requirements and actively participate in S&OP and S&OE processes by evaluating schedule change needs, assessing downstream impacts, and ensuring alignment between long-term plans and short-term execution
- Proactively flag service risks and schedule adherence impacts when near-term orders deviate from demand or replenishment plans
- Ensure the schedule protects the ATP (available to promise) commitments
- Ensure schedule changes are well communicated and impact to the customer is mitigated
- Partner with S&OP and S&OE teams to align on planning impact
- Support root cause analysis when Line Fill Rate falls below 98%
- Execute and resolve execution gaps, address delays, and incorporate planned downtime or holds
- Conduct “what-if” scenario modeling to assess the impact of unplanned events (e.g., equipment failure, urgent orders) and recommend schedule adjustments
- Monitor finite scheduling master data, including run-rates, yields, constraint logic, changeover matrix, and sequencing rules
- Track actual performance vs. plan; adjust data models to reflect observed throughput or output issues
- Reporting and RCA: Monitor key metrics: schedule adherence, line fill rate, production attainment
- Support S&OP and S&OE processes by presenting schedule risks, recovery plans, and driver metrics
- Participate in and propose continuous improvement events (e.g. Kaizen) to enhance schedule stability and reduce lead times
- Share best practices with peers across lines, factories, or regions to strengthen enterprise-wide scheduling maturity
