Responsibilities
- Develop and execute daily production plans based on customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and material availability.
- Translate demand forecasts into achievable production schedules while balancing operational priorities.
- Review and manage ERP/MRP messages, exceptions, and planning recommendations to maintain accurate production schedules.
- Create and manage production and intercompany orders in accordance with business priorities.
- Collaborate with Production, Customer Service, Quality Control (QC), and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure successful execution of production plans.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including schedule adherence, service levels, inventory performance, and production efficiency.
- Participate in daily operational meetings to communicate updates, identify risks, and drive timely issue resolution.
- Identify supply and production risks, develop mitigation plans, and perform root cause analysis for delays, shortages, and inventory issues.
- Maintain accurate planning data within ERP systems and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and operational performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in production planning, supply planning, materials planning, scheduling, or supply chain operations, preferably within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing operations.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, with JD Edwards E1 preferred; experience with SAP, Oracle, Demantra, or similar ERP platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- APICS CPIM certification or willingness to obtain certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to convert data into actionable production plans.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing demands, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
