Production Planner

Responsibilities
- Create and manage detailed production schedules for manufacturing sites, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and inventory targets.
- Analyze production capacity and constraints; recommend adjustments to optimize throughput and minimize bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure material availability for scheduled production.
- Translate demand plans into executable manufacturing schedules, considering lead times, frozen periods, and resource availability.
- Maintain and update planning-related master data (e.g., item attributes, lead times, BOMs, routings) in Oracle to ensure accurate and efficient system performance.
- Review and apply recommended planning parameters in Oracle (e.g., safety stock, min/max levels, lot sizes) to improve schedule accuracy and reduce exceptions.
- Track adherence to production plans, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with supply chain, quality, and operations teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and improve efficiency.
- Drive process improvements in planning accuracy, cycle time reduction, and resource utilization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in production planning or manufacturing scheduling.
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and planning tools.
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
- APICS certification a plus.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both oral, written and electronic form.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and efficient.
- Very detail oriented and organized, able to multi-task.
- Knowledge and experience working with MRO/ERP systems, Oracle R12 is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and analytical skills, especially excel; must be able to create and maintain spreadsheets with knowledge in data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage execution risk and prioritize effectively, by managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills; ability to display sound judgement.
Skills
- Ability to utilize a computer, telephone, fax and copy machine as well as other general office equipment.
- Ability to independently travel via car or airplane to domestic and international locations as needed.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Able to communicate by phone.
- Able to use computer (use keyboard and mouse, view monitor) for most of workday.

Pay
Salary Pay Range: $62,000.00 - $85,000.00 USD
