Production Planner

Duties

• Reviews and distributes production, work, and shipment schedules
• Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates
• Monitors inventory levels and solves production problems
• Maintains production item master setup, sets up daily production entries, and posts production entries
• Analyzes sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements
• Interfaces with manufacturing and purchasing staff on material status and production planning issues
• Conducts capacity analysis by specific work center
• Expedites and prioritizes work orders by coordinating and managing daily production schedule meetings
• Issues and tracks production orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor according to the production schedule
• Monitors and tracks KPIs regarding production efficiencies

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Supply Chain team and other functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, HR) on executing company strategies, meeting budgets, and the work unit planned processes
• Works with the Director of Supply Chain & Logistics to implement strong cultural beliefs and values throughout the organization

Requirements

• Education: Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of production planning in a manufacturing environment, ERP systems experience and a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs, Experience with lean concepts and tools, Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills, Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of company personnel, Must be able to work independently as well collaborate with production managers, Exceptional organizational skills required

• Ascend and push, and pull up to 50 lbs
• Bend, twist and reach to check freight, stack boxes, and label
