Production Painter/Technician - Level 1

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the site, the surface(s), and required materials.
  • Apply primers, sealers, paints, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or industrial sprayers.
  • Apply specialty finishes as requested per customer specifications.
  • Clean and maintain painting equipment, including sprayers, brushes, and rollers.
  • Securely store hazardous materials and leftover paint in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • Perform all conversions and assemblies at the highest possible level of quality.
  • Build knowledge of fluid power components to more efficiently assemble and test products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of assembly procedures, contributing valuable insights to optimize workflows.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and tools, reporting any signs of wear, damage, or the need for maintenance.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings and adhere to established safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Contribute to the training and onboarding of new team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Assist in supporting and participating in the organization’s continual improvement program and conform to ISO 9001 requirements.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent secondary education.
  • Technical school certificate or associate’s degree is considered a plus.
  • Experience as described below may be accepted in lieu of education.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of painting experience.
  • Experience with 2-part epoxy painting and zero rust painting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with pneumatic paint applicator is preferred.
  • Zero (0) to three (3) years of experience in mechanical conversions and assemblies.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is considered a plus.
  • Strong personal skills and desire for growth as an individual and technician.
