Production Operator - Swing or Graveyard Shift

About the role

Darigold is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Operator to join our plant in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple repetitive tasks, and enjoy working with others to achieve team goals.

Responsibilities

• Safe & efficient operation of an assigned machine.
• Maintain an organized work area and perform ongoing cleaning tasks in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Maintain efficiency standards set for the operating area.
• Follow all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Darigold’s Good Manufacturing Policy, in conformance with the position’s Standard Operating Procedures and in accordance with facility training sessions and materials.
• Report any concerns that may impact Food Safety or Quality to their immediate supervisor, the Plant Quality Manager or the Plant Manager.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail & commitment to quality work.
• Ability to complete multiple repetitive tasks.
• A team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Available to work multiple shifts in a 24/7 environment (including holidays).
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time & capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, food processing is preferred.
• Mechanical skills are a plus.
