Production Operator - Nights

Quanex is looking for Extruder Operators to join our Production night-shift team in Kent, Washington. Operators work as part of a team and independently to run and maintain assigned extruder machines, producing quality window and door parts to customer specifications with minimal waste.

Schedule

7:00 pm to 7:00 am on a rotating schedule that includes working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every other week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set up of equipment and complete changeovers timely
• Produce and use Material Identification labels/computer
• Identify quality product prior to packaging
• Attend work on time and for scheduled hours each day
• Maintain good housekeeping practices in compliance with 5S Standards
• Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers
• Follow established procedures and guidelines, including standard work and safety policies

Requirements

• One or more years of experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Shift flexibility, including overtime and weekends
• Ability to read and understand packaging layouts
• Ability to operate hand tools and other equipment as required

Pay

Expected starting salary: $22.00/hour plus $1.00 shift differential.
