Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to assist with daily operations of the production floor, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Communicate with previous shifts to prepare for the current shift, addressing any challenges or opportunities on the production lines.
  • Conduct walkthroughs throughout the shift to verify safety, housekeeping, and quality compliance.
  • Assist the supervisor with batching minerals (if applicable) and preparing production lines for scheduled changeovers.
  • Order and inspect raw materials before changeovers to ensure correct inventories for production runs.
  • Perform first pass quality checks after changeovers to prevent non-conforming product.
  • Return raw materials after production runs.
  • Verify discrete jobs in Oracle (including quality and bill of material list), Warehouse Management System, and/or Line Management System.
  • Support the Production Supervisor with hourly and/or end of shift production reports.
  • Utilize Efficiency Improvement Tools to understand and comment on line downtime and communicate appropriately per the escalation plan.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
  • Abide by Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times.
  • Work 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or as dictated by production demand.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the position.

  • Preferred 6 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.

Education

  • Minimum required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • PREFERRED: Associate's Degree.
