Position Summary Production Operator I is a full-time hourly position responsible for processing and packaging of treats, blended products, and meat, fulfilling customer orders, cleaning, organizing, and assisting in other areas as needed. Duties And Responsibilities Production Accurately mix, produce, and package products according to production schedules and company standards of quality and food safetyCommunicate with leadership to ensure efficient and timely delivery of all customer ordersSafely operate all machinery required to perform daily dutiesHelp to anticipate, identify and correct system breakdowns and process improvements to achieve maximum customer service and satisfaction with production efficiencyCommunicate equipment and safety issues and recommendations for improvementsAbility to perform in various areas of production as neededResponsible for properly completing proper documentation related to safety, quality and productionResponsible for successfully operating production equipment for area of responsibilityResponsible for meeting daily performance standards and schedulesRequired to use computer for entering performance standards and printing necessary paperwork Cleaning and Organizing Follow and maintain daily cleaning and maintenance scheduleAssist with maintaining organized, clean and safe work areas and equipmentSweep, dust and mopDispose of waste in proper receptacles (trash, recycling and compost)Wear proper safety equipment and follow safety rules Training and Leadership Assist in training and welcoming new employeesContribute to efficiencies, problem-solving and process improvementsMaintain professional level of attendance, attitude and behaviorMaintaining safety, quality and production standards within your responsible areas Safety Completes safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to the Production Supervisor.Responsible to participate in mandatory safety training program requirements.Required to report all safety issues, near misses, and injuries. Quality & Food Safety Completes quality and food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to the Production Supervisor.Responsible to participate in mandatory food safety and quality training program requirements.Preserves the integrity of the BRC system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the Quality Policy Manual. Takes actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality system deficiencies.Required to report food safety and quality system failures and take actions necessary to preserve the BRC system.
