Production Operator I / 2nd Shift

Operates production equipment to manufacture hydraulic hose in Forest City, North Carolina. Reports to the shift Manufacturing Supervisor.

Schedule

2nd Shift, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Stencil & Inspect: Operates the stencil machine to apply the appropriate model and lot number on the hose and inspects it for any defects during this process.
• Finishing (Cut/Coil & Eject/Test): Ejects mandrel from the hose using water pressure, proof tests hose to ensure it meets specifications, cuts the hose at the appropriate place on the reel, and coils the hose to prepare it for shipping.
• Mandrel Prep (Rubber & Grilon): Prepares rubber and/or grilon mandrel for the rubber to be shaped around during the extrusion process.
• Braid (Horizontal & Vertical): Operates braider machines to interweave two or more strands of yarn to provide reinforcement for the hose before the cover process.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S, and TPM practices.

Job performance measures include safety, quality, inventory, on-time delivery, and productivity.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must be local – no relocation offered

Qualifications

• One year or more manufacturing experience preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment
