DGH is a leading manufacturer of technical textiles, fabrics, and yarns used in the appliance industry, industrial markets, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

About the role

This role performs all tasks involved in the production of the Company’s technical textile gasket products, including preventive maintenance and tending equipment, manufacturing and inspecting products following standard operating procedures. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Inspect and label product per quality requirements.
  • Troubleshoot the equipment and minimize downtime.
  • Track production utilizing the appropriate visual management or documentation tools.
  • Escalate safety, quality concerns, or machine malfunction to the supervisor.
  • Move finished goods in the designated area.
  • Roll gaskets and shrink-wrap gaskets.
  • Retrieve gaskets from the punch press process.
  • Cross-train in other areas when time permits.
  • Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous production or manufacturing experience, a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
  • Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of walking, standing, pushing, pulling, or bending.
  • Able to perform both gross and fine manipulation.

Work Environment

  • The work facility may be hot and/or cold, based on the time of year.
  • Many areas of the production floor have a very high noise level. Hearing protection is required in these areas.
  • Regularly work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Tolerate regular contact with fiberglass and fiberglass fibers.

Schedule

This is an on-site, full-time position with a standard work schedule of 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.
