Production Operator - Days

Quanex is looking for Extruder Operators to join our Production team in Kent, Washington. This role involves running and maintaining extruder machines to produce quality window and door parts according to customer specifications with minimal waste.

Schedule

This position operates on a rotating schedule of 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, including working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every other week.

Responsibilities

• Assists with set up of equipment and completes changeovers timely
• Produce and use Material Identification labels/computer
• Identify quality product prior to packaging
• Attends work on time and for scheduled hours each day
• Maintains good housekeeping practices, in compliance with 5S Standards
• Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers
• Follows established procedures and guidelines, including standard work and safety policies

Requirements

• One or more years of experience; manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Shift flexibility, including overtime and weekends
• Ability to read and understand packaging layouts
• Ability to operate hand tools and other equipment as required

Pay

Expected starting salary: $22.00/hour
