Production Operator - Day Shift (Mon - Fri 7am-3:30pm)

The role

The main purpose of the role is to work as part of a team with responsibilities on the production line reporting to the Team Leader. You will also be required to work flexibly and may be required to work on other related activities when the business need requires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-5 years working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a team
• Able to work in a logical organized manner
• Able to work safely using tools and equipment
• Able to work effectively, efficiently and safely to schedules and deadlines
• Chemical manufacturing experience desired
• Leverage of Lean Manufacturing (including 5S) desired
• Familiarity with SAP S4 Hana or equivalent ERP system would be beneficial
• Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
• Computer literate - Experience using MS Office; Excel, Word & Outlook
• Basic mathematics
• Accurate data entry
• Forklift truck license desired
• Boiler license desired

Skills

• Understanding the basic chemistry involved in the process in order to effectively monitor and troubleshoot
• Understanding the basic mechanical operations of the process in order to effectively monitor and troubleshoot

Requirements

• Understanding customer and product requirements, monitoring and adjusting processes to ensure compliance
• Understanding environmental regulations and complying fully

Pay

Hourly rate $20-$25
