Production Operator - Coating, Nights

Job Description

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator - Coating to join their production team in Fairport Harbor, OH. This role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting coating machinery, ensuring smooth and safe production.

What You Will Do

• Operate & Changeover: Lead machine setups, changeovers, and cycle adjustments for optimal productivity.
• Ensure Quality: Perform routine product checks using measuring tools to ensure specs meet accurate tolerances.
• Monitor & Troubleshoot: Keep a close eye on gauges, flow ratios, temperatures, and pressures to identify root causes of equipment issues.
• Collaborate & Record: Maintain logs, support team goals, and cross-train on multiple coating assets.
• Prioritize Safety: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and champion a safety-first mindset for yourself and your team.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED OR 3+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills and curiosity for how equipment works.
• Tech Skills: Basic computer proficiency to track production flow and logs.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as needed.
