Production Operator - Bottling - 2nd Shift

Based in Wausau, WI, this team works hands-on with fully automated production equipment to sanitize, set up, and operate bottle-filling lines for probiotic capsules. You’ll join a close-knit group of energetic and fun coworkers who take pride in working hard, supporting one another, and contributing directly to Novonesis’ purpose of improving health through science-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Supporting set-up technicians in preparing machines for operation
• Ensuring proper sanitation of all machine parts and components
• Understanding the role and basic function of each machine in the process
• Handling raw materials, from probiotic capsules to cardboard shipping boxes
• Assisting teammates as needed to keep production running smoothly and safely

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and write English to understand product specifications and instructions
• Basic understanding of general mechanical functions of machines
• Ability to stand and/or walk for the majority of a 12-hour shift when required
• A safety-minded, reliable approach to day-to-day work in a production environment

Skills

While not required, the following can be helpful:

• Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or packaging environments
• Familiarity with sanitation or GMP-style processes
• Interest in learning how automated production equipment works
• A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever the team needs support

Pay

Hourly pay: $19.00 per hour plus shift premium

Schedule

• Second shift, working Monday-Thursday from 2:30pm-12:30am
• 100% on-site in a factory/production environment (no remote work)
• Overtime: Often available but not required

Working Conditions

• Standing and walking for much of the shift
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Production setting with automated equipment
• Hearing protection (ear plugs) available if preferred, but not required
