About the role
As a Production Operator, you will operate and monitor multiple workstations to produce quality parts in compliance with specifications, SOPs, and work instructions. The role includes proper equipment setup, adherence to production schedules, verification of product quality, accurate material identification, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace while following all safety and operational guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Operate up to five workstations or production cells to manufacture parts in accordance with equipment specifications, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Ensure equipment setup is completed per established work instructions and that all processes are executed correctly.
- Monitor equipment performance to verify that all produced parts meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure operations align with daily and weekly production plans.
- Properly label and identify all materials, components, work-in-process, and finished goods at every stage of the process.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to housekeeping expectations, including 5S work environment standards.
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel or composite toe footwear, and hearing protection.
Work Environment
- Non-climate-controlled shop floor with varying temperatures (hot and cold).
- Exposure to forklift and pedestrian traffic, as well as elevated noise levels.
- Physical tasks include lifting and operating machinery; comprehensive training will be provided.
Schedule
This is a 24/7 facility with rotating 12-hour shifts following a (2/2/3) schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, then switch. The position requires working every other weekend.
- Day shift (BMD1/D2): 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Night shift (BMN1/N2): 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (this is the shift for the position)
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic math skills required.
- Ability to complete basic data entry in computer systems.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English sufficient to perform essential job functions.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
