Production Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Follow all safety rules and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished electrodes or assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Accurately record production data, equipment readings, and quality checks in designated systems/logs.
• Identify, report, and help troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues.
• Operate industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jack, etc.) to transfer raw materials and semi-finished products.
• Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of machines and work areas to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Collaborate with team members, team leads, supervision and engineers to meet daily production goals.
• Escalate safety, quality, or equipment issues to team leads promptly.
• Support continuous improvement activities by providing feedback on processes and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A commitment to workplace safety and teamwork is essential.
• Experience in large- or small-scale manufacturing in a production role, operating automated or semi-automated equipment, is a plus.
• Familiarity with operating automated production equipment or control systems such as Human Machine Interface and Programmable Logic Controllers, is a plus.
• Experience in powder handling, chemical batch processing, mixing, roll winding, and material conveyance, is a plus.
• The ability to lift up to 25lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a manufacturing environment (noise, heat, PPE use) is required.

• Basic math, computer, and data entry skills.
• The ability to work well with other individuals and as part of a team to ensure the team meets & exceeds expectations.
