PRODUCTION OPERATOR
About the role
The Production Operator position involves rotating through various roles within the Crown Health Care Laundry plant, including Soil and Clean operations. Primary responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and loading linens for delivery to hospitals and medical facilities. Pay rates and work schedules are based on the area assigned.
Responsibilities
Open and sort returned, soiled linen into appropriate classifications for washing.
Operate various production equipment to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Move empty carts to the cleaning area for reuse.
Secure linen carts, stack and build them according to standards.
Remove items from the conveyor and notify maintenance if necessary.
Fold and stack items as per quality standards.
Identify and handle issues such as holes, stains, and non-Crown products.
Run clean linen through the ironer machine, deciding when to rewash or call for maintenance.
Fill and weigh finished carts, record information, and load them onto delivery trucks.
Requirements
High School Education or GED preferred.
Excellent teamwork skills required.
Willingness to move between all jobs via rotation.
Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn new applications.
Good recordkeeping and analytical skills required.
