About the role

Closets by Design is a nationally recognized leader in home organizing systems. We design, manufacture, and install a complete line of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall-beds, garage cabinetry and more. Responsibilities

• Operate wood cutting and finishing equipment
• Maintain production records
• Communications associated with activities of equipment, product, and customer specification
• Machine and builds including its condition and safe operation
• Maintain product quality and production output in accordance with company and customer standards

Requirements

• Ability to read work orders to determine profile type, machine setup procedures, and type of build to be cut
• Select and install cutting heads and all proper tooling on machine according to the pattern
• Run materials through machinery and inspect for proper profile specifications
• Make any required adjustments needed before producing order
• Use machinery to cut wood to customer specifications
• Follow production schedules
• Responsible for general machine/tool maintenance
• Complete production records
• Maintain a clean/safe work area at all times
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience machine operation
• Ability to communicate with supervisors and co-workers
• Must be able to follow directions + follow specific work procedures/steps
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Mathematical aptitude

Skills

• Ability to operate machinery safely and determine when maintenance is needed
• Possess strong mechanical aptitude
• Consistently meet project deadlines

Schedule

Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
