Production Operator

About the role

CHS Ethanol is looking for a safety-conscious Process Operator to operate and maintain equipment in our ethanol production facility. This position includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus, paid out over 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment of a processing facility under general supervision.
• Ensure product quality, safety, and throughput in the assigned area.
• Conduct continuous inspections, monitor equipment, record operating parameters, and adjust machinery to meet specifications and production targets.
• Implement QA policies and procedures, complete required sampling and testing of process streams, interpret QA results, and take appropriate action.
• Comply with all regulations and requirements, including record keeping.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance as required.
• Maintain housekeeping, sanitation, and general appearance of the assigned work area.
• Load and unload products from/to truck and rail; carry materials.
• Monitor, maintain, and care for all issued tools.
• Complete initial, ongoing, and supplemental training.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, follow all safety policies, and identify and communicate workplace hazards.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers to support plant operations, solve problems, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned to support operations.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Production Operations.
• Must meet minimum age requirement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Pre-employment screening may include drug, criminal, motor vehicle checks, physical requirements, and FMSCA Clearinghouse, if required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work independently for extended periods, including in confined spaces and hazardous environments.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb steps/ladders for long periods, including working at heights up to 120 ft.
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Ability to wear all required protective equipment (respirators, hard hats, eye and hearing protection).
• Ability to use automated and manual tools and equipment.
• Ability to shovel, sweep, load, and unload materials.
• Ability to work in noisy, dusty, and all-weather conditions.

Pay
