About the Role
Actively ensures that production activities are carried out in the safest, most environmentally responsible, and cost-effective manner while meeting or exceeding quality specifications. Sets up and operates equipment according to prescribed instructions for manufacturing products. Performs a variety of manual activities and adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Follows all safety policies and procedures, including the use of safety equipment (PPE) and equipment safeguards.
- Performs all CMC production duties accurately and with minimal supervision.
- Operates CMC production equipment safely to produce quality products consistently.
- Follows all Production-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepares raw materials for processing by following formula sheets, instructions, and SOPs.
- Moves materials to the point of use and ensures proper machine settings and temperatures are set.
- Monitors process conditions and makes adjustments to equipment as needed to ensure a quality product.
- Maintains a log of each product processed (CMC Production Sheet), including product code, lot number, number of bags filled and weight, date, operator's name, and other operational comments.
- Operates a variety of equipment and machines such as forklifts, product baggers, sealers, blenders, scales, floor scrubbers, air compressors, dust collectors, and hand tools.
- Performs housekeeping duties, including moving and washing equipment, disassembling and reassembling equipment as needed, and sweeping and scrubbing floors to maintain a safe work area free of clutter and debris.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions; good oral communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Continuous physical activity throughout the workday, including climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Ability to move objects up to 100 lbs (typically with assistance).
- Exposure to repetitive motion and moving objects.
