Production Operator

Position Responsibilities

• Promote safety awareness and keep safety as a top priority.
• Conduct monthly safety audits.
• Ensure high standards for quality and understand defects affecting film performance.
• Create a high-participation work team environment.
• Aid the work team and adhere to best practices.
• Train coworkers.
• Document trial results.
• Update and maintain ISO documentation.
• Cross-train on all equipment.
• Assist in operational skills during extrusion trials.
• Accurately document and organize raw materials, finished goods, and scrap.
• Participate in work team trouble-shooting to document best practices.
• Attend and participate in pretrial meetings.

Essential Functions

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Climb up to 40 feet high.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Wear all personal safety equipment and follow Company safety policies.
• Perform daily tasks such as paperwork, computer entries, and cleaning.
• Safely operate machinery.

Qualifications

• Experience sufficient to demonstrate competency in extrusion/slitting process and shop operations.
• Results-oriented.
• Good communication skills.
• Organizational and team-building skills.
• Strong analytical, numerical, computer, and reasoning skills.
• Desire to learn and operate most/all extrusion and secondary processes.
• Excellent attendance and safety record.
• Seek to understand process changes' impact on product quality.
