About the role

Quanex (NYSE: NX) is a global, publicly traded manufacturing company primarily serving OEMs in the fenestration, cabinetry, solar, refrigeration and outdoor products markets.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and complete changeovers timely
• Produce and use Material Identification labels
• ID quality material prior to packaging
• Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notify supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues
• Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day
• Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S Standards
• Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers

Requirements

• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School or GED preferred
• Willing to work overtime including weekends
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. on an infrequent basis
