Summary/Objective
The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and company procedures.Essential Functions
- Works under the guidance of Supervisor or Crew Leader to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner.
- Ensures that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition and work area is clean, safe, and organized.
- Makes recommendations for improving equipment performance.
- Diligently follows organizational and work-specific instructions, attends relevant trainings and meetings.
- Fulfills tasks efficiently and within set productivity standards (where applicable).
- Absolutely adheres to safety regulations at all times, promotes safety standards, identifies potential safety risks, and reports them proactively to the line manager.
- Displays initiative to exceed performance expectations, adapts to changes in tasks, workplace, or team, and maintains reliability in keeping agreements.
- Behaves openly, respectfully, and helpfully, contributing constructively to problem-solving efforts within the team and sharing and accepting information and knowledge.
- Participates in department or quality team meetings, suggests improvements, and collaborates with others to implement improvements as assigned.
- Trains new operators and/or trainees as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One month of plant training - TQM, SPC, GMO, SOP’s, in conjunction with six months on-the-job training
- Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand operating and other related procedures and complete all position-related documentation
- Basic arithmetic skills
- Basic computer skills
