About the Role
Responsible for performing day-to-day operations on the production floor. Ensures all assigned tasks are completed to meet requirements including machine operation, packaging, material handling, and shipping packages as needed.
Responsibilities
- Performs packaging and batch-making functions for the production line.
- Prepares production as directed, following current production, QC procedures, guidelines, and SOPs.
- Assists in monitoring all operations, raw material, and packaging component availability.
- Interfaces with PLC and PC applications to operate the production line.
- Performs reconciliations regularly.
- Handles breakdown and assembly of production machines.
- Troubleshoots equipment issues and performs minor maintenance.
- Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and follows all applicable Manufacturing SOPs.
- Completes all paperwork related to batching and packaging operations, including logs, batch records, and documentation per internal SOPs.
- Participates in maintaining a clean and safe plant environment.
- Performs production duties as needed to meet requirements and comply with GMPs.
- Loads and unloads raw material and finished product using forklifts and other material handling devices safely and efficiently.
- May perform Material Handler duties as needed.
- Works on semi-routine assignments but recognizes when deviation from accepted practice is necessary.
- Provides assistance to Production Operator I with general support tasks as directed by a supervisor.
- Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution when necessary.
- Reviews and complies with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Stays current with process changes and updates for work areas.
- Assists with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of related production experience.
- Experience with food, chemical, or drug manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Experience operating a forklift and other material handling equipment.
- Computer skills and data entry experience.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift materials of up to 75 lbs.
