Production Operator 1st Shift

The Production Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role ensures that products are packaged according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory standards, and company procedures, while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operates Small Ingredient Silo’s, Large Ingredient Silo’s, Mixer, Mill, Extruder, Brick Picker, Check weigher, Metal Detector, Palletizer machines, and auxiliary equipment to support the mixing operation in accordance with SOPs and WIs to produce bricks in accordance with productivity standards.
- Trained on SAP and MII functions to support productivity standards.
- Works under the guidance of Supervisor or Crew Leader to perform and complete assigned duties in a timely manner.
- Ensures equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition and the work area is clean, safe, and organized.
- Monitors equipment performance and recommends improvements.
- Follows organizational and work-specific instructions, attends applicable trainings and meetings.
- Meets productivity standards (where defined) and organizes work effectively.
- Abides by safety regulations at all times and promotes safety standards in the workplace and team.
- Identifies potential safety risks and reports them actively to the line manager.
- Demonstrates initiative to exceed common performance and flexibly adopts changes in tasks, workplace, or team.
- Works reliably, keeps agreements, and assumes responsibility for entrusted tasks.
- Is open, respectful, and helpful; constructively contributes to problem-solving in the team.
- Shares and accepts information and knowledge; participates in department or quality team meetings.
- Suggests improvements and works alone or with others to implement improvements, as assigned.
- Trains new operators and/or trainees as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Schedule
This is a 1st Shift position, Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
