Production Operations - Level 3 and Level 4
This position is 100% onsite in Linthicum, MD and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
About the Role
Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Production Operations Individual Contributor (OPM) – Level 3 or Level 4 to join our Active RF OPM team. The Production Operations candidate must possess excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—strong interpersonal skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to present program visibility at internal and external meetings, including executive-level discussions.
This role will review engineering designs from concept to drawing stage for manufacturability, help develop production test solutions, and identify gaps in existing infrastructure to meet program objectives. The candidate will consistently interface with the design team to ensure manufacturing design guidelines are met.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain day-to-day interfaces and communications between the assigned Program Management Office (PMO), Manufacturing, Test, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Mission Assurance (MA), Supply Chain (SCM), Engineering, and Shipping.
- Achieve targeted cost and schedule requirements.
- Facilitate internal meetings to support design, production, and problem resolutions.
- Report Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and serve as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) for manufacturing projects.
- Represent manufacturing as a subject matter expert at Non-Advocate Reviews / Independent Cost Evaluations (NARICE).
- Lead or participate on a product team, responsible for product-level requirements analysis, engineering and manufacturing of assigned products, product tracking, and visibility.
- Represent manufacturing at the program Risk Review Board (RRB) meetings and create/manage applicable manufacturing risks and opportunities from the program risk register.
- Support and generate proposal documentation as needed to foster new work.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications for Level 3
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience.
- No clearance required to start.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and/or project management.
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, testing, and/or design.
- Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
Basic Qualifications for Level 4
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience.
- No clearance required to start.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and/or project management.
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, testing, and/or design.
- Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Management.
- Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement.
- Experience with bases of estimates, shop order creation, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
- Active SCI security clearance.
Schedule
This position works a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
