Georgia Pacific is actively seeking Production Manufacturing Technicians to work in the Printing, Packaging, and Plate Forming Press technology centers at our Dixie® site in Jackson, TN. Schedule

The Jackson Plant operates 24/7, including weekends, holidays, and overtime hours. After 6–8 weeks of training on the day shift, employees may be placed on a permanent day shift (5:30 AM–6:00 PM) or night shift (5:30 PM–6:00 AM) following a rotating 3-2-2, 12-hour schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  • Monitor and/or complete data entry into technology devices (e.g., computer, tablet)
  • Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
  • Perform basic asset care duties, including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
  • Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
  • Flow to the highest value work, which may include working across Printing, Packaging, Logistics, and Plate Forming Press technology centers
  • Support leadership and team members in alignment with our culture of Principle Based Management™
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience operating equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, and/or military environment, or completion of post-high school education in a manufacturing/industrial-centered program
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment
  • Experience using a computer and tablet/smartphone

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience leading activities in a manufacturing environment
  • Three (3) or more years of experience using computerized machinery in a production environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook

Pay

Compensation is determined by available market data, considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. The range provided is an estimate and may be higher or lower based on these factors.
