Responsibilities
- Maintain & enforce product quality inspection and testing requirements.
- Optimize plant operations to meet plant and business goals in asset capability, quality, and budget/cost.
- Identify areas of opportunity and implement changes in production methods for new and existing processes; facility layouts; production flow and equipment; new product testing; and packaging and shipping, in order to reduce cost, increase efficiency and improve quality.
- Develop and drive initiatives aimed at improvements to productivity and first-pass yield.
- Develop programs/methods to optimize producibility and reduce cycle time.
- Write non-conforming material reports, Process/Product change notification, manufacturing procedures, and work instructions.
- Attain a full understanding of Health and Safety policies and procedures with the ability to translate them to implementation in the plant.
- Lead operations’ drive to zero (zero injuries and zero unplanned events).
- Lead and participate in Root Cause Investigations for unplanned events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- New graduate or 1-2 years of engineering experience.
- Practical experience troubleshooting manufacturing problems and implementing sustainable corrective actions, combined with strong process orientation, and solid knowledge of manufacturing, including strong systems and component level experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills required.
- A team player with the ability to interact effectively will all levels of organization.
