Production Manager — Printed Graphics & Signage (Contract, Remote)

About the role

We're hiring a detail-obsessed Production Manager to own the accuracy and execution of our printed graphics. This is a strong fit for someone who has run signage, print, or environmental graphics production and knows exactly how much a quarter-inch or a missed site detail can cost.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and verify field measurements; catch problems before they reach production, not after.
• Schedule, brief, and manage install crews and vendors so teams arrive prepared with the right specs, materials, and site access.
• Be the clear, calm point of contact on install days, keeping site contacts, installers, and our team aligned so nothing gets lost in the handoff.
• Track jobs from approved artwork through print and fabrication; flag any discrepancies in specs, substrates, or dimensions.
• Hold the standard on finished work: right size, right placement, right finish.

Requirements

• Experience in signage, large-format print, environmental graphics, or a related install trade.
• Strong measurement discipline and comfort reading specs, drawings, and site conditions.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, plus CAD for drawings and layouts.
• Clear, reliable communication — on-site, over text, email, and phone.
• Organized and proactive; you close loops without needing to be chased.
• Able to travel to NYC-area job sites on install days.

Qualifications

• Bonus: existing relationships with print, fabrication, or install vendors.

Skills

Benefits

• Compensation: $60/hour.
• Engagement: Independent contractor (1099), part-time — roughly 3 days per week.
• Location: Fully remote, with hourly billing that also covers NYC-area on-site days.
