Production Manager - Inventory Control (Electrode)

Responsibilities

  • Owns execution and governance of incoming/outgoing inventory for operations to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and compliant transactional discipline.
  • Maintains visibility of RAW/WIP/FG positions and validates that inventory status/location controls enable production execution.
  • Runs dashboards and early warning triggers (upper/lower limits) to prevent stockouts, excess, or unhealthy WIP.
  • Drives discrepancy investigations and corrective actions; documents and sustains countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
  • Partners with Finance and Supply Chain to align inventory reporting, reconciliation, and audit readiness.
  • Buils capability and accountability for inventory discipline across operations teams and material movement partners.
  • Trains stakeholders on inventory control routines, system transactions, and escalation triggers.
  • Cross-functional collaboration & stakeholder engagement: coordinates with Receiving/Shipping, Production, Quality (holds), and Supply Chain to ensure inventory integrity and FIFO discipline.
  • Ensures inventory handling and storage follow safety rules and quality requirements (including holds, segregation, and disposition).
  • Maintains all inventory transactions timely and accurately; maintains audit-ready records.

Qualifications

  • Required Education, Certifications, and Licenses: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for required education.
  • Preferred Master’s degree (MBA or MS) in a related discipline.
  • Lever Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or higher).
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-shift execution and drive plan attainment.
