About the role Belden’s Production Manager plans, directs, and manages all physical and organizational aspects of production to meet the production requirements for the facility. This role falls under Belden’s Alpha Wire Brand. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and will work onsite from our Carson, CA facility. Primary schedule is first shift, with support for second shift as-needed. Developing and managing manpower requirements Developing and managing manpower requirements of the plant employees in order to effectively meet manufacturing targets and goals. Aiding with plant practices Assisting with the enforcement of plant practices such as safety programs, preventative maintenance programs and quality audits. Managing production workflow Managing plant production workflow and qualifications of production equipment contributing to the overall functionality of the production process. Leading continuous improvement initiatives Lead continuous improvement initiatives for productivity and efficiency of operators and production flow. Education and experience - Education - Bachelor’s Degree or a 2-year technical degree with relevant experience - Experience – 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 3 years of supervisory experience preferred Skills - Spanish and English language fluency required - Continuous Improvement is Our Way of Life – Lean manufacturing experience with Kaizen experience preferred Compensation and benefits Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $100,000 to 140,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location. Work schedule This is a first shift position with support for second shift as needed.
