Production Manager

About the role

As a Production Manager at Zekeman Industries, you will play a key role in leading daily plant operations, coordinating labor assignments, and driving employee development to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality on the production floor. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to operational excellence and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.
• Performs quality checks on equipment and production areas to ensure customer and quality standards are met.
• Develops work schedules and labor assignments to achieve daily and long-term production goals.
• Delegates responsibilities and ensures accountability across team members.
• Provides training and cross-training; conducts performance evaluations and initiates disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintains regular, full-time, predictable on-site attendance as an essential function of the role.

Requirements

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Associate degree with an emphasis on management or supervision (or equivalent experience).
• Working knowledge of shop floor systems such as MES and SAP or comparable platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Effective problem-solving, time management, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to foster productive working relationships and drive team performance.
