Lead multi-wire and stranded copper production by reviewing incoming rod quality, raw material samples, and surface inspections to ensure finished wire products meet required electrical, mechanical, and dimensional specifications.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily wire drawing and stranding operations by analyzing production schedules, machine capacities, determining material flow and staffing needs, and ensuring operations stay aligned with cost and timeline requirements.
- Develop production tracking and quality control procedures by analyzing operational and maintenance reports to identify inefficiencies and improve workflow performance.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and modification procedures, recommend replacements when necessary, and initiate cost control measures to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
- Oversee daily production performance by coordinating with the technical, quality, and administrative teams, setting operational priorities, and implementing corrective actions to maintain output, quality, and delivery targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Materials Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 1 year of experience as Production Manager, Production Control Supervisor, Multi-wire & Stranded Wire Production Engineer, or related experience.
- Experience monitoring wire production processes by evaluating machine parameters, material flow, and in-process quality indicators to ensure compliance with technical specifications and production targets.
- Experience coordinating machine installation, alignment, start-up, and pilot runs for wire drawing and bunching equipment, including interpreting technical drawings and working with cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience overseeing preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and coordinating with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
Pay
$113,450.00 annually.
