Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Management and Event Managers to assess production needs
• Coordinate backstage logistics and serve as the primary contact for stagehand crews and technical vendors
• Manage event estimates and ensure timely updates based on production changes
• Oversee load-ins, show runs, and strikes for national tours, community events, and local productions
• Schedule, train, and supervise local stagehands and production crews
• Ensure compliance with ASM Global policies, union regulations, and safety standards (OSHA/EEO)
• Maintain payroll and time tracking for stage employees
• Act as Event Manager on Duty as needed
• Supervise maintenance and upgrades of all production-related equipment including lighting, audio, and rigging systems
• Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for venue gear
• Recommend capital improvements and ensure proper use and care of the facility
• Interface with prospective clients to assess and accommodate production requirements
• Coordinate front-of-house logistics for select events to ensure a seamless guest experience

Qualifications & Preferences

5 years of hands-on experience in a live performance venue, coliseum, arena, or similar preferred. Proven experience managing local stagehand crews. Knowledge of arena operations, production logistics, maintenance, and facility safety. Prior supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized in a high-pressure environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical specs, and event layouts
• Knowledge of fire/public safety standards and OSHA guidelines
• Ability to lift, move, and operate equipment in a physically demanding environment

Working Conditions

Fast-paced, high-energy environment with frequent exposure to loud noise. Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. May include moderate manual labor and extended periods of standing or walking.
