About the Role

The Production Manager will lead manufacturing and production operations, overseeing production staff and ensuring company goals are met. This role focuses on production throughput, quality standards, and on-time delivery while managing vendor relationships and coordinating with the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire production process, ensuring targets are met and products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing production team, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs.
  • Investigate and address product quality issues or complaints.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor services to avoid production disruptions.
  • Assign work, check quality, release product, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Maintain an organized and clean production area, including shop consumables.
  • Prepare and present reports on production metrics, issues, and accomplishments.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of all production orders (goal: ≥ 95% on-time delivery).
  • Coordinate with the sales team to ensure accurate production time estimates and meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Update and close out all jobs accurately in SalesForce upon completion.
  • Review sales orders to confirm product and inventory availability, noting and communicating issues to sales immediately.
  • Document inventory and ensure product is moved out of the system promptly.
  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and address unsafe acts or conditions to prevent accidents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience managing production schedules and leading teams.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of interdepartmental processes and the impact of non-compliance.
  • Knowledge of organizational resources, including inventory, tools, machinery, and equipment.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional reaching/working overhead, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Frequent walking and continuous standing and repetitive hand motion.
  • Lifting requirements: occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, and continuous lifting up to 15 pounds.

Schedule

This is an exempt, full-time position. Minimum attendance requirements will align with the team’s schedule to ensure proper supervisory coverage. Adherence to attendance and time-off policies is expected.
