Production Manager

Responsibilities
- Direct supervision of hourly production employees and may supervise other production supervisors, material specialists, and manufacturing support roles.
- Planning, monitoring, executing, and communicating the daily, monthly, and annual production goals.
- Aids and provides input for the sales and operations plan to meet financial targets and customer service objectives.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders in various departments to coordinate activities affecting the production process.
- Maintains work areas to meet or exceed company 5S and safety standards.
- Identifies and leads continuous improvement activities that enhance key performance indicators, improve safety culture, and/or advance team member relations.
- Participates in root cause analysis on safety incidents to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develops cross-training plans and encourages continued development of team members.
- Maintains good working knowledge of current labor agreements (where applicable), regional labor policies, and applicable government regulations.
- Provides input to manufacturing engineering functions to improve productivity, including plant layout, process flow, routings/labor standards, work methods, capital equipment, and quality levels.
- Represents manufacturing with outside visitors as needed.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 6-8 years of relevant work experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- 4-year / Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations management, engineering, business administration, management, or a related field, or equivalent years of job experience.
- Continuous improvement training and Lean manufacturing training.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Experience in production planning and execution.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various departments.
- Knowledge of labor agreements and government regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

The compensation for this role includes a base salary and the opportunity to earn additional variable compensation based on achieving specific performance metrics. The starting base pay range for this position is $114,000-$144,837 and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
