Production Manager
About the role
The Production Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations to supervise the timely completion of all projects, create and implement process improvements, and coordinate projects in a manner that maximizes efficiency and profitability. This role achieves manufacturing results by communicating job expectations to hourly and salary employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising production outcomes.
They will work with all employees using coaching, counseling, discipline, and mediation skills to maintain workflow by monitoring process steps, control points, equipment, personnel, and resources. The Production Manager will report on daily results, make corrections to achieve targets, assign personnel, establish priorities, monitor progress, resolve problems, evaluate employees, and conduct orientation and training.
Responsible for the safety of all employees, ensuring they know and acknowledge all safety rules, policies, and necessary PPE for each position. Accountable for compliance with established quality policies and procedures and maintaining communication on all equipment and machines. Ensures a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Business, or related field
- Experience in the hydraulics industry strongly preferred
- Successful track record of leading teams and executing business initiatives
- Ability to develop relationships and foster a team environment
