Production Manager
About the role
The Production Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations to supervise the timely completion of all projects, create and implement process improvements, and coordinate projects in a manner that maximizes efficiency and profitability. This role achieves manufacturing results by communicating job expectations to hourly and salary employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising production results.
They will work with all employees using coaching, counseling, discipline, and mediation skills to maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process, observing control points and equipment, and monitoring personnel and resources. The role involves reporting on daily results, making corrections to achieve targets, assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems, evaluating employees, and conducting orientation and training.
Responsible for the safety of all employees, ensuring they know and acknowledge all safety rules, policies, and necessary PPE for each position. Accountable for compliance with established quality policies and procedures and communication on all equipment and machines. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Business, or related field
- Experience in the hydraulics industry strongly preferred
- Successful track record of leading teams and executing business initiatives
- Ability to develop relationships and foster a team environment
