Production Manager

Production Manager Responsibilities

• Maintain full accountability for shop to include; construction, service, warehouse, metal, CNC etc.
• Oversight of the Production Supervisor(s) and shop personnel
• Approval of all SODs / quality and timeliness of production SOD information
• Creation of the two-week schedule and capacity reports
• Monitoring of project profitability through the Project Managers and Production Supervisor(s)
• Determination of labor, facility, and equipment resource needs for business growth
• Leadership of quarterly shop meetings
• Development and execution of Production department short and long-term goals and strategies
• Leadership and monitoring of safety including adherence to company safety procedures
• Liaison between sales staff and production staff (Project Managers, logistics, detailing)
• Quality control, including conducting periodic shop inspections
• Minimal to moderate travel to other Derse locations and client tradeshows, as needed
• Management of direct reports through assignment and monitoring of work, adherence to company policy and procedures, approval of vacation & time off, personnel training / mentoring / coaching, and conduct quality performance reviews
• In conjunction with HR, carry out principles and regulations of Equal Employment Opportunity as they apply to hiring, terminating, promoting & disciplinary actions

Production Manager Requirements and Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related study and / or (5-7) or more years of supervisory experience required
• Hands on knowledge of exhibit construction or fixtures/cabinet-making/millwork trades required
• Demonstrated experience in providing leadership, implementing strong team-building skills and mentoring staff
• Highly organized, flexible and ability to work necessary hours in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Advanced in Microsoft Office / Microsoft Suite
