Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the production department personnel.
- Explain and direct production activities and establish production priorities.
- Cookordination production activities with maintenance and quality to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.
- Implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operation problems and to improve product quality.
- Work with human resources to establish and maintain corporate policies and manage overall headcount according to the budget and sales.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Train employees; plan, assign and direct work; perform appraisals; reward and discipline; address complaints; and resolve problems.
- Revise production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Consult with engineering relative to modifications of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products, or when developing new lines for a new product.
- Manages special projects as requested by the General Manager.
- Frequent communication with all levels of management, corporate support groups, Quality Assurance, and plant personnel.
- Responsible for related safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing management, a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience. 8 plus years of experience, or equivalent.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Competencies: Performance Management, Technical Capacity, Organizational Skills, Leadership & Coaching, Collaboration, Teamwork, Orientation, Problem Solving/Analysis.
- Knowledge of IATF16949 Quality Standards.
- Computer Proficiency.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliers.
- Knowledge of related safety requirements.
- Flexibility, Confidentiality, Supervisory Responsibility.
