Production Manager

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage the production department personnel.
• Explain and direct production activities and establish production priorities.
• Cookordination production activities with maintenance and quality to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.
• Implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operation problems and to improve product quality.
• Work with human resources to establish and maintain corporate policies and manage overall headcount according to the budget and sales.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Train employees; plan, assign and direct work; perform appraisals; reward and discipline; address complaints; and resolve problems.
• Revise production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
• Consult with engineering relative to modifications of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products, or when developing new lines for a new product.
• Manages special projects as requested by the General Manager.
• Frequent communication with all levels of management, corporate support groups, Quality Assurance, and plant personnel.
• Responsible for related safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Required Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing management, a related technical field, or equivalent education and experience. 8 plus years of experience, or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Competencies: Performance Management, Technical Capacity, Organizational Skills, Leadership & Coaching, Collaboration, Teamwork, Orientation, Problem Solving/Analysis.
• Knowledge of IATF16949 Quality Standards.
• Computer Proficiency.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliers.
• Knowledge of related safety requirements.
• Flexibility, Confidentiality, Supervisory Responsibility.
