Production Manager
About the role
Plans, directs, and coordinates all facility activities, leading teams to ensure efficient, safe, and profitable production while meeting quality, cost, and productivity targets, and driving continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety across all shifts.
- Monitor production processes to maintain stability, minimize scrap, and ensure output meets specifications.
- Manage production staff, scheduling, and resource allocation to optimize productivity and control overtime.
- Drive and implement process and project-based initiatives to enhance floor efficiency.
- Standardize workflows and ensure procedures are up to date in the quality management system (EtQ).
- Oversee hiring, training, and performance reviews while ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols (PPE, LOTO).
- Monitor operational expenditures, capital expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and report on budget variances.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 10 years of equivalent supervisory experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment including 3 years in a people leadership role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Google suite preferred.
- Previous Lean experience.
- SAP experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Change management experience.
- Inventory Management experience such as: Cycle Count, Material Movement Transactions and Delivery Routes.
