Responsibilities
- Safety Leadership & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all corporate safety protocol and government agency requirements.
- Lead employees in proactive safety habits.
- Lead all lean initiatives, projects, and communications.
- Drive engagement with team members for a proactive continuous improvement environment.
- Ensure all products meet specifications dictated by production orders.
- Manage and investigate incorrect products and work with inside sales team to correct issues.
- Conduct regular quality audits to ensure adherence to quality program standards.
- Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
- Drive operational excellence.
- Direct the fabrication, assembly, packaging, and shipping of all plant products in the most efficient and economical manner.
- Drive production operations to maximize capabilities to service customers at the highest levels.
- Ensure all inventory processes are effectively followed by plant personnel.
- Audit all process and results in always maintaining standards of work integrity.
- Ensure the equipment and facilities are well maintained and operating properly by following and/or modifying existing preventative maintenance schedule.
- People Leadership
- Hire and develop employees to optimize their contribution to the business.
- Set expectations and hold employees accountable for quality, performance, and compliance with company policy/procedure.
- Proactively coach, teach and train employees with a focus on growth and performance.
- Build leadership bench strength for future opportunities and initiatives.
- Financial Acumen
- Actively manage P&L to ensure profitable operations.
- Lead Cap Ex justifications to grow operations, address business needs, or increase capabilities to satisfy customer demand.
- Participate in budgeting exercises to properly line out business for future needs and operations.
- Communication & Decision-Making Skills
- Ability to make critical data driven decisions.
- Lead effective branch communication and report outs up and down the company structure to ensure most accurate representation of current state of business or future state needs or targets.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/fabrication environment.
- 5+ years in a progressive leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in setting expectations and leading employees to meet or exceed them.
- Demonstrated mechanical inclination.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Proficiency in an ERP system.
- College or technical school degree in related field or equivalent experience, preferred.
