Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations to ensure manufacturing targets, quality standards, and production schedules are met consistently.
- Manage and develop production teams responsible for equipment setup, process monitoring, and manufacturing output within a regulated environment.
- Oversee manufacturing equipment and systems to ensure reliable production performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to resolve production challenges and optimize process stability.
- Implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives focused on production efficiency, scrap reduction, cycle time, and process capability.
- Monitor key production metrics including yield, equipment efficiency, and throughput to drive measurable operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems, manufacturing documentation, and regulatory requirements associated with medical device production.
- Cook up preventative maintenance programs with maintenance and technical teams to sustain production continuity.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience managing or supporting production operations and manufacturing teams within a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues related to equipment, materials, and process performance.
- Familiarity with manufacturing performance metrics such as cycle time, scrap rates, yield, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
- Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and operational leadership skills.
- Able to communicate clearly with technical teams and production personnel across all levels of a manufacturing organization.
