Production Manager

About the role
As Production Manager, you will report directly to the owner and oversee all projects in our production schedule. You will schedule orders, order materials, manage production staff and workflows, ensure deadlines are met, and work alongside the production team to maintain maximum efficiency.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic industry knowledge looking to build a lasting career. You will receive training on our software and procedures and work daily with an experienced team.
Responsibilities
- Manage production staff and workflows
- Schedule orders to prioritize and manage daily job production
- Update job status and location in the MIS system
- Control waste and rework by quality-checking jobs as they are produced
- Complete Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobs
- Operate digital commercial printers using Fiery Command Workstation
- Track waste, spoilage, usage, and inventory for all digital printing machines
- Maintain Digital Printing Equipment logs
- Keep a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with required maintenance and learn extended maintenance from the technician
- Ensure all service “clicks” are credited by the service technician, including credit for poor-quality copies
- Manage the team to calibrate all color devices to maintain color consistency
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented
- No experience necessary—we will train the right candidate
- Digital printing and/or sign experience is preferred
- Some management experience is preferred
- Ability to organize several activities and tasks concurrently
- Ability to maximize profit through efficient use of time and equipment
- Can perform basic bindery functions
- Familiarity with Fiery Print Controller is a plus but not required
- Graphic design skills are a plus but not necessary
- Customer service experience is a plus but not necessary

Schedule
Full-time, 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, fully onsite.
